Empire State of Mind.™
I don't have a game plan...
As to how to close the end of 2009 which will ceremoniously come to an end in like 4 days?
As to how to lead the coming 2010 which will ceremoniously commence right after 2009 without any delay.
As to why I name this entry the name it is, only because it remains my most played song I have on repeat lately.
"Concrete jungles where dreams are made of...there's nothing you can't do..."
One of the entries that just screams random thoughts, bullets points and musings on the wall kinda thing.
I guess that is how I am gonna end my year.
Without much conclusions, without much fanfare, without new resolutions.
I choose to maybe, go with the flow, run like the wind, fly with the breeze, grow with the trees that kinda bullshit philo talk.
1) Had a great time at St. Regis with a bunch of homies. Safari theme. Was wild and crazy and colourful. Photos up soon.
Unfortunately, I fell really ill, had a fever, nose was running and lost my voice. Survived on panadols and lozenges most of the night.
Was quiet half the time during the party, but still enjoyed it. Someone special called at about 4-ish. Pleasant surprise.
Had one of the most special conversations in a long time, beside the Christmas tree.
2) Didn't have time to watch much movies a few weeks back. But eventually did make up for it.
Caught Avatar twice and thought it was really a great one to end this year.
Watched Hear Me with Weetz, story was thin, treatment could be better, but leads made it work.
Manage to meet the director and male lead in person. Very watchable.
Sherlock Holmes, I am actually not a fan of Guy Ritchie's work. But this one, pretty commendable, despite mixed reviews.
3) Currently, mind is a little pitch blank. The entry's picture was taken at the hotel room while waiting for rest to turn up. Beautiful sunset.
4) He took me by surprise. Twice. One, a good surprise. Second, not that good a surprise.
But having said that, still a time I enjoyed and found special.
Haven't found a time where I could just talk to a person so freely and open up.
Alas, only the gods will know where all these will lead to.
5) Permanence v.s Impermanence. A thought that came to me lately.
6) Empire State of Mind. I do certainly wish I am at the top of a really tall building right now. Strong breeze slapping my face.
Where I can overlook a great city skyline and the crashing of the sun against the flat horizon.
Close those tired eyes and just hear the city sounds. Feel the dizzy set in and just let loose.
Everything seems to be black and white. That would be nice.
With strong pillars albeit just to support the fragile sandcastle of my dreams,
7) Was asked if I have low self esteem. Got me thinking. Do I?
8) Swore I lost a little weight despite the festive season. Attributed to the timely flu.
9) Photo shoot on Monday for Coffee Club. Tuesday for Asiatique Jewellery.
Managed to finish off Rach's photos. Posting soon.
Dreading the f**king reservist in January. Not very timely is it?
10) Would I have changed a thing about everythig over the weekend? Probably not.
Oh yes, maybe one thing. Wishing that it could go on forever.
But, eternity is transient, is it not?
Nonetheless, it was fun. And it gave me an excuse to head out shopping by myself; which I totally love.
And oh, thanks vv much for the iphone =) -muacks- Besides my DELL work computer, I actually don't own anymore Microsoft products now... wow... truly gone to the dark side lawl.
Now to shop for a nice new cover, change my phone plan, and I gotta find some way to back up my contacts =/ gah... there goes another chunk off my bonus.
I was pointed to America's Got Talent 2009 and seriously Barbara Padilla was ROBBED. Utter scam.
Merry Christmas.™
It was pretty much late at night and in the wee hours where sleep eluded me.
Not that I crave the warmth of a fireplace. The happy scarf keeps me rather warm and fuzzy as it is.
Decided to sing this song (Everything by Michael Buble) just to wish everyone out there a Merry Christmas.
Hope you all like it.
May you have a joyous time with whomever you choose to spend it with.
Not forgetting to share and give love to those around you, especially the less fortunate ones.
Lotsa Love,
Dennis & Fotocology.

A virtual banner.™
Thanks Donovan for this great virtual Christmas present...its really uber sweet of you.
It's beautiful. Thank you so much.
Wow, now to find a place to put this...
Christmas is just right round the corner and Empire State of Mind Part II loops on my player.
I feel like dancing.
Bloop bloop bloop !™
Watching the bloopers really made me "face palm" all the way!
But yeah, it is such takes that kinda makes it all so fun and worthwhile! Souhay!
Thanks (or no thanks?) Ally for putting this together!
The vidz is attached to her YouTube Channel so do check her out!
Happy Holidays peeps! You are in my thoughts!
Live like we're dying.™
"We've only got 86 400 seconds in a day to turn it all around or to throw 'em all away.
We gotta tell 'em that we love them while we got the chance to say, we gotta live like we're dying..."
Just did a cover of Live Like We're Dying by The Script and Kris Allen.
The song was originally from the boys before Kris Allen picked it up to release it as his debut single.
We had a blast rehearsing for this. Breaking it down, harmonizing, tweaking it and actually feeling it!
Amidst the grooving, mouthful of lyrics, near impossible breathing and spluttering of saliva (mostly from me)!
We eventually got through the song in good faith nontheless!
Remember to rate, comment or subscribe if you like!
Dedicated to everyone out there, just so that we constantly remind ourselves, to live our 86 400 seconds in a day to the fullest!
Yes, we have 86 400 seconds in a day if we micro-manage. Somehow, I can feel the clock ticking amplify.
Some days, I gotta admit, we just let 'em go, and we don't really know where we lost time.
Those days, where we just hide and don't feel like doing anything?
Let's just hope those days where we actully feel happy and motivated, will more than make up for those times we lost.
This song... After a while, we sound like some government jingle for some "Live Well" or Keep The Park Clean" kinda campaign!
But on second thought, nah, the government won't pick a song that has the word "dying" in it!
Probably change lyrics to "gotta clean like we are lovin' Singapore"... *grin*
It's Christmas week! I was busy with some photos editing and trying to tie up loose ends before the festive celebrations starts.
Feelin' kinda at ease, not particular festive and not really down or anything.
Just calm. Anyway, hope everyone out there is having fun and have already made plans as to who to spend their special holidays with.
Souhay!
Wonderwall.™
"And all the roads we have to walk are winding. And all the lights that lead us there are blinding.
There are many things that I would like to say to you, but I don't know how."
How true isn't it? When some days don't go as well as planned and you face so much odds against you?
Almost like what everything suggests, something like, you against the world kinda thing?
And you cannot help but sometimes, think about someone who can save you from it all...
Or take you away, somewhere far preferably and just forget about everything even for a short while.
Oh, not that I am feeling like that today, just putting it down on how some days could turn out that way for some of us.
Did a cover of Oasis's Wonderwall featuring the ubercool Ally on the guit and accompanying vocals.
Honestly, it wouldn't be have as fun without her! Thanks for always being such a great collaborative partner!
I was just trying my very inexperienced self at "alternative rock" as Ally calls this song!
Channelling my very inner, closetted rocker persona. Ahem.
"And after all....you're my wonderwall..." just keeps ringing in my head after. Sorta like a hangover!
Feel free to rate, comment or subscribe to moi on YouTube.
Anyway, more importantly, Love it, hate it, whatever. Just enjoy it! (Like how RinontheRox will say it!)
Managed to squeeze in some very impromptu Christmas shopping with Agus and Ally joined us after.
Had a great time hanging for a bit before heading for more shopping. I extended my wardrobe space a little more henceforth!
We ended the night with some very high voltage karaoke session with us screaming to The Climb by Miley Cyrus.
I know, kill me!
Ah, good night everyone. While I lay my hands on more photos editing.
It got a lil irritating so I plugged on my ipod and Leona kept my company. But somehow I had forgotten to charge. Damn it.
So it was back listening to chipmunk carols. UNTIL I FORGOT to take out my vouchers when making payment. Sigh.

December.™
December. Crept in without much of a fanfare or parade.
Even the rain came a little earlier this year.
In a flash, the year is coming to an end.
I don't particularly feel the need to reflect or to recount at the moment.
At least not on my blog for now.
Just enjoying the still of the night, where I actually feel the sudden urge to pen an entry.
I've had a few adventures of my own this year. Not all that I should be proud of.
But hey, I definitely weaved some beautiful memories and met some really great people.
In a way, that's like me collecting more badges to be added to a scouts uniform.
A close friend from my Uni days got married over the weekend.
I was hired as the photographer and am in the midst of editing the photos.
The wedding was splendid, at the courtyard of the Raffles Hotel.
I wish Rachel and Junlun eternal wedding bliss.
Let's hope you guys will like the photos once done.
Dear Rachel, this is one of you, while you were getting your make up done. =)
Just realized that there are quite a few video uploads and not many photos from Fotocology of late.
Gotta apologize for that, cause I have been a little busy with some corporate projects of late.
But the year is coming to an end and I have more time and energy on my hands.
Will be posting whenever I can!
December, I think I am so much happier now compared to the last time you visited.
You did not promise me fireworks or red carpet treatment.
But you did grant me the peace that I've hoped for.
For that, thank you so much. You have arrived now, and I know you will leave with a sweet tingling feel in me.
and p/s: you know who you are - pay me my hundred bucks.
hehehe
